Exempt Position reporting to Patrick Martinez

 

Duties: Coordinate Workforce Development program activities and supervise personnel in the Chaves, Eddy, Union and Lea County Offices.  Assure that program is in compliance with grants and contracts operating in the SE region.  Ensure program goals and objectives are met.

 

Responsibilities: Timely submission of all program reports.  Establish collaboration with other service organizations in the area.  Ensure participants receive services according to objective assessment and employability development plan.  Other duties may be assigned.  

 

Requirements: B.B.A. or B.S. in Education, Social Work Administration or related field or 1˝ years of related work experience for every year of college education.  Must have a minimum of three (3) years experience working with Workforce Development Programs and at least two (2) years of supervisory skills. Must be willing to travel both in and out of state, have a valid New Mexico’s driver’s license and own vehicle.  Bilingual English/Spanish a plus.

Regional Manager for its Espanola Office

 

Duties: Manage implementation of regional programs, implement strategic initiatives, and supervise personnel in the Northwest region. Ensure that program initiatives are well managed and compliant with grants and contracts. Secure additional funds within 12 months of employment.  Serve as an agency representative in the region.  Act as a team leader in seeking resources, developing action plans, and writing proposals.  Manage regional budgets.  Evaluate and coach performance of personnel. Develop and maintain operating procedures and other duties as assigned. 

 

Requirements, Experience and Skills: Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree  in business management or a related field and have 5+ years work experience in the development and management of community and/or workforce initiatives; at least 3+ years supervisory experience. Successful experience responding to RFP’s and grant writing required.  Excellent communication skills, including public speaking, presentation, and analytical & computer skills required. Highly organized, strong organizational and administrative skills, and able to function effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.  Must have staff management experience & possess problem solving skills.  Must have a valid New Mexico driver’s license, reliable transportation and travel in and out of state.  Bilingual English/Spanish desirable.
