Employment Community Specialist  – NFJP

F/T 40, hrs/week, Mon-Fri 8am-5pm

Reporting to Evangeline Touchine

 

Duties: Eligibility determination for persons applying for grant services; assuring cost containment; addressing clients expressed needs; monitoring services; case management; face to face interviews; meeting with employers, and other duties as assigned.

 

Experience: 3+ yrs experience in job placement with farm worker population, 2-3 years assisting in a social service setting; strength in job development/placement or related field. 

 

Requirements: Associates Degree preferred, strong Microsoft Office Systems skills.  Must have own transportation, a valid New Mexico driver’s license, a clean driving record, and be over age 21.

Education Specialist – Las Cruces area office

Status:  Full-Time, Full-Year position

 

Qualifications:

  • Must have or be working towards a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education (ECED), or related field
  • 3 or more years combined experience in Early Childhood Education (teacher or coordinator level)

 

Essential Functions:

§  Monitor and evaluate classrooms and/or teaching staff to analyze and improve educational objectives

§  Provide training, technical assistance, and guidance to teaching staff

§  Assist teaching staff with attainment of professional development goals

§  Collaborate with area colleges and universities to develop and strengthen training and professional development resources

§  Will be part of the Education Coordinating team that designs and implements education services for the child development division

 

Additional Requirements:

§  Valid Driver’s License, First Aid/CPR certifications     

§  Must complete criminal records check, physical exam, and TB screening
