The Child Development Division of
HELP-New Mexico, Inc.
serves approximately 555 children, birth to five years of age, in
five counties of southern New Mexico (Hidalgo, Luna, Dona Ana, Otero
and Sierra). Comprehensive
child development and family services are provided through the Head
Start Program which is currently funded for 277 children.
The program also receives funding from CYFD NM State Pre-K for 224
additional preschool children, CYFD State/TANF Extended Head Start,
State Funded Child Care Assistance Bureau and Private Pay funds the
Infant/Toddler Program in Deming and Lordsburg, as well as provides
extended care to preschoolers in Alamogordo and Deming.
The
HELP-New Mexico, Inc.
Child Development Division has provided Child Development Services
to approximately 14,500 children and families since 1970.
The HELP-NM Child Development Division will
continue impacting and enriching the lives of the most vulnerable
populations in the southern part of New Mexico.
The staff is committed to family/child wellness and embraces
the comprehensive vision and philosophy of “Building Foundations for
Children and Families” which is practiced through the four core
values of Children First, Empowering Families
