Services Provided
We provide the following services Training Related Supportive Services:
• Work Experience:
This activity assists participants involved in the
training activities of work experience and literary activities. The
intent is to assist and encourage adults and youth involvement in
formal classroom training and to purchase tools or equipment for the
job and also educational supplies. Program could offer the following:
Emergency Assistance
Housing Assistance
Education Assistance
• Classroom Training:
This component is for adult and youths who are lacking
basic education skills and a significant work history. This is a
opportunity to gain work experience and educational enhancements. Work
experience average 30 hours per week, classroom training average 10
hours per week @ minimum wage. Participant must attend both activities
each week in order to be paid.
• On-The-Job Training:
The existing conditions within the Agricultural business
emphasize the need to help Farm Workers earn a decent wage, which can
be accomplished by utilizing the OJT component. HELP-NM will continue
to seek employers who will provide training in growing fields of
employment that will offer competitive wages to participant. HELP-NM
will reimburse the employer up to 50% of the training cost for a period
of up to 12 weeks
